Preservation Events This Summer

There are so many ways to celebrate and enjoy historic places in Greensboro! 

The Twentieth Century City
July 1 (Wednesday) at 7pm

The Gate City grew from a courthouse and college town to the second largest city in the state during the twentieth century, and our downtown has some of the best example of architecture of the period to show for it! Preservation Greensboro urban guide Ryan Gray will provide insights on what exactly makes our city so cool! 1:30 minutes long. Rain or shine, cancelled only if thunder is heard. College Hill Walking Tour
July 8th (Wednesday) at 7pm

College Hill has the distinction of being Greensboro's best-preserved nineteenth century neighborhood. The narrow streets lined with Queen Anne cottages and charming bungalows are enhanced by offbeat boutiques and eateries that cater to a hip clientele from nearby colleges. Packed with history and centrally located, College Hill blends quaint architecture with urban amenities to create Greensboro's most energetic neighborhood.
