North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper will be the keynote speaker at Preservation Greensboro's 49th Annual Meeting on Wednesday, February 11th.

North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper will be the keynote speaker at Preservation Greensboro's 49th Annual Meeting on Wednesday, February 11th.

"Preservation Greensboro has a long tradition of headlining keynote speakers, including US Congresswoman and Ambassador to the Holy See Lindy Boggs (1984) and Governor Jim Martin (1986)" says Benjamin Briggs, Preservation Greensboro executive director, "In recognizing that Blandwood's history is based on politics, we are pleased to continue this tradition on the eve of our 50th anniversary and Golden Jubilee year in 2016."

In addition to the keynote address by the Attorney General, attendees will receive an update on historic preservation initiatives in Guilford County, and annual historic preservation awards will be presented.
 
The event will be held at the Proximity Hotel. Cocktails will be held in the Revolution Room 5:30-7pm, dinner will be held in the Weaver Room from 7 till 9pm. Seating is limited. RSVP by February 6th. Tickets will cost $100 for the general public, and $49 for PGI members at the Sustainer Level ($100) and above. After February 6th tickets will cost $69 for Sustainer Members plus and $120 for the general public.
